[:ca]L’Associació Cultural Gençana es constitueix al poble de Burg (Pallars Sobirà) amb l’objectiu de divulgar la dansa , les arts, la gastronomia i el medi ambient.

L’associació té caràcter social, artístic, gastronòmic i mediambiental, neix amb la voluntat de promoure la salut i el benestar general. Els fins de l’associació són entre altres: promoure i contribuir al benestar i la salut -entesa de forma holística- dels nostres socis i usuaris; ésser un espai pel coneixement i la difusió de les arts del moviment, la música, la gastronomia i el medi ambient; promoure el desenvolupament i l’economia local i incrementar el valor artístic i cultural del municipi.

Gestionem l’Espai Dansa Natura, situat a la 2a planta de l’edifici de La Solana i puntualment el restaurant de la 1a planta. Promovem un lloc on trobar-se, on gaudir de bona companyia i delectar-se amb una oferta gastronómica i artística innovadora. Volem aprofitar al màxim el nostre entorn natural com a font d’inspiració, però també com a font de saviesa.

L’Associació, a banda de la Junta, està formada per socis voluntaris, que fan que els projectes que impulsem siguin una realitat.

Els nostres principals projectes són:

  • El Festival MUDA Pirineus, música i dansa a la Coma de Burg. 22 de juny.
  • L’EDN, amb els seus tallers i espai de residència. De Setmana Santa fins octubre.
  • Cicle d’arbres monumentals, excursions i intervencions artístiques al entorn d’arbres singulars del Parc Natural de l’Alt Pirineu. Dos primers caps de setmana d’octubre.

 

[:en]The Gensana Association is located in the village of Burg, in the Pallars Sobirà region of the Pyrenees. Its aims are: to contribute, in holistic form, to the wellbeing and health of our members and service-users; to offer a space dedicated to the arts of movement, music, gastronomy and the environment, to promote local development, to strengthen the local economy, and to increase the artistic and cultural value of the neighbourhood.

The Gensana Association manages the Espai Dansa Natura, situated on the second floor of the Solana Building, and the restaurant on the first floor. We provide a place for reflection, where one can enjoy good company and be immersed in an innovative gastronomic and artistic experience. We aim to make the most of our natural environment not just as a source of inspiration but also a source of knowledge.

The Association is a voluntary organisation whose members ensure that the projects that we initiate become a reality.

Our principal projects are:

  • The MUDA FESTIVAL – music and dance at Burg, the 22th of June.
  • Espai Dansa Natura (EDN), with its workshops and residential spaces, operates from Easter until October.
  • The Monumental Trees Cycle– excursions and artistic projects concentrating on exceptional trees in the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees, in October.
