Espai Dansa Natura

Espai Dansa Natura is situated in the village of Burg in the unicipality of Farrera, Pallars Sobirà. It shares a public building called “ La Solana de la Coma de Burg” which is managed by the Gensana Cultural Association. The village of Burg, at an altitude of 1300 metres, is one of the gateways to the Natural Park of the High Pyrenees. It is set in a beautiful landscape which in winter is often covered with snow, in spring is a paradise of wild flowers and birdsong, in summer is bathed in heat and in autumn displays a gradual change of colours from green to spectacular reds, browns and golds.

It is a place where you can leave behind the noise of the city, a place where you can tune into the sounds of nature, where one is surrounded by fields and animals, with hermitage churches to explore and myriad pathways to follow, amidst spectacular mountain scenery and vast, dramatic skyscapes.

OBJECTIVES
The main purpose of Espai Dansa Natura is to promote dance and the art of movement in Catalonia.
Creative movement, nature and health are the three foundations of our human support system.

With these principles in mind it is clear that to work in a natural environment is one of the best ways to develop as a human being. It opens a person up to the kind of research and creativity which the Amerta Contemporary Dance Movement, in particular, uses to promote the personal growth, spiritual wellbeing and bodily health of those who engage in it.

Towards these ends we at EDN offer activities which centre on training, creativity and expression.
